Despite the short notice, a rather pleasant cycle ride was had on a hot day with an ideal cooling breeze.

After an initial bit of bike swapping and tyre pumping/valve adjustment 11 of us made its way from the Village towards the Antrobus Arms. "Speedy Bob" on his "I found it in a ditch"-special zoomed off and out of sight. The rest of us did the bike equivalent of ambling.

Concensus was it was a good time to walk up the hill (slope, really) to the Quaker meeting house at Frandley. But a final spurt was put in as we realised how close the pub was.

After some time there, we headed back, but thought a halfway stop at the Spinner & Bergamot would provide essential refreshment. A scenic detour through the back of Comberbach brought us out right by the Spinner (without having to do either the main road, or the dip back up to is). And so the day was rounded off overlooking the bowling green.
